Headphone impedance and amplifier matching
Understand impedance, sensitivity, interface outputs, keyboard and DJ-controller jacks, adapters, and when a dedicated headphone amp is useful.
Impedance is not loudness by itself
Sensitivity and the source output matter with impedance. A higher number does not automatically mean better sound or impossible drive.
Check the weakest everyday source
A headphone that works from the studio amp but fails from the keyboard or mobile recorder may not suit the real routine.
Distribution and amplification differ
A multi-output box can share one mix. A better amplifier may improve drive and control. The setup may need one, both, or neither.
